Sid Banerjee
CEO and Co-Founder
A Greater Washington Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in IT services, Sid is the CEO and Co-Founder of Clarabridge™. Sid provides executive leadership and strategic direction and is a well-known expert in customer experience, business intelligence, and text mining.
Prior to Clarabridge™, he co-founded Claraview, a leading BI strategy and technology consultancy firm. Under Sid's leadership, Claraview grew into a thriving services firm with over 130 employees without any outside funding. Claraview was acquired by Teradata, a leading data warehousing and business intelligence company, in March 2008.
Over his career Sid has amassed nearly 20 years of business intelligence leadership experience. A founding employee at MicroStrategy, he held Vice President-level positions in both product marketing and worldwide services. During his tenure leading MicroStrategy's worldwide services division, he grew the organization to a 500+ person organization supporting enterprise deployments of BI solutions. Before joining MicroStrategy, Sid held management positions at Ernst & Young and Sprint International.
Justin Langseth
President, CTO, and Co-Founder
Justin is the co-founder of Clarabridge and the inventor of Clarabridge™'s award-winning software. As President and CTO, he is responsible for the direction and day-to-day leadership of the organization.
Prior to Clarabridge, Justin co-founded Claraview, a BI strategy and technology consultancy, which was sold to Teradata in 2008. Before founding Claraview, Justin served as founder and CTO of Strategy.com, a real-time data analysis and alerting subsidiary of MicroStrategy. At Strategy.com, he designed and implemented systems that provided near real-time and real-time reports and alerts to over 350,000 users, via web, email, wireless, and voice technologies. Prior to launching Strategy.com, he was a technology program manager and consultant at MicroStrategy. In the early 1990's Justin was active in the BBS community, and he authored and marketed the EIS-PC BBS system. Justin is an expert in text mining, specifically related to integration of unstructured content. He currently holds four technology patents and has several more pending. Additionally, he is an instructor at the Data Warehouse Institute.
He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received an SB in Management of Information Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Bill Welch
Chief Financial Officer
Bill Welch has twenty years experience building successful companies in the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Clarabridge, he was the CEO of Vibrant Solutions, Inc., an international software company where he led the company's expansion into Europe and negotiated the sale of the company to Teoco Corporation. Bill previously served as Vibrant's EVP and CFO, positions he held since 2001.
Bill has been co-founder or a founding employee of several emerging growth companies where he held executive positions. His responsibilities have included finance, operations, human resources, information technology and international business development. Bill has an extensive mergers and acquisitions background having negotiated and closed multiple transactions. He has also raised over $200M in various types of growth capital financing.
Bill has served as an advisor to several businesses and organizations and currently serves on the board of directors of the Virginia National Defense Industrial Authority. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Tony Lopresti
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tony is responsible for the integration of our clients' feedback into our product offerings, marketing activities and business development plans. Tony is an entrepreneurial executive with progressive experience in enterprise software sales, product management, marketing, strategy, and operations. Prior to joining Clarabridge™, Tony held profit and loss responsibility for all software products for a $50M subsidiary of Monster Worldwide. At Monster, Tony built a metrics-driven, high-performing department from the ground up to provide business development, marketing and product management functions.
Prior to Monster, Tony held senior management positions in product and consulting management at American Management Systems. Tony has a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. While completing his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, Tony worked with Intel's strategic marketing and venture capital organizations and also provided strategic business consulting to the executives of various high-technology startups.
David Marko
Vice President of Services
David is a seasoned executive whose professional focus has spanned large scale system development efforts, global implementation strategies, and support service initiatives. David holds the unofficial title of customer experience officer at Clarabridge, as he practices what we preach by continually acting as our clients' advocate in our product development, implementation and engineering processes.
Prior to joining Clarabridge, David was responsible for the management and support of an Ecommerce and Enterprise Service set of applications for the College Board that touch millions of students and parents each year. Before joining the College Board, David spent more than 8 years with CACI as a Director overseeing the execution of multi-million dollar projects and programs that have spanned ERP, Procurement, Financial, and Reporting systems. With each program and project, David was responsible for their design, development, installation, implementation, and post delivery support. David holds a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
Gene Sohn
Vice President of Engineering
Gene oversees Clarabridge's technical architecture, engineering, and delivery for our clients and partners. Prior to joining Clarabridge™, Gene co-founded Viador, a pioneer in the enterprise portal space. Gene was responsible for the entire product development effort-from conception to delivery-of the Viador E-Portal Server, which has served as the enterprise portal architecture for more than 800 customers. Prior to founding Viador, he served as a software engineer at Oracle, leading the development of the Oracle Reporting Server, which ultimately became the basis for Oracle's web reporting architecture. Gene holds an SB in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
