Last week, Twitter announced the launch of a new platform to click and watch TV directly from your Twitter feed. The ‘See it’ platform will enable you to tune directly into a TV show or movie, creating a strong connection between social media and television.

The ‘See it’ button will appear on tweets related to American NBC Universal TV shows like The Voice. In partnership with Comcast, who created the technology behind it, Twitter will eventually use it on a broader scale and integrate more content in the platform.

Clicking the ‘See it’ button will offer you three options:

  • you can watch the content on your smartphone or tablet through a TV Everywhere app
  • you can program your digital video recorder to record the show
  • you call up on-demand programming

In the future, new features will roll out like sending you reminders on when your favorite TV show is airing.
