DEI at Clarabridge
Includes all the ways in which people differ. While often limited to race, ethnicity, and gender, we embrace a broader definition of diversity to include education, age, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and marital status.
The guarantee of fair treatment, access, and opportunity, and advancement for all while striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups.
Embracing everyone’s differences and ensuring that every individual or group feels welcomed, supported, respected, valued, and able to fully participate.
Being part of several underrepresented groups in the tech industry, my passion for the DEI cause comes from a personal place. Now, as co-chair of the DEI committee, I am happy to both contribute to, but more importantly push for a more realistic representation of our company’s diverse communities and client base. The committee goes beyond imagining a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture—it allows us all to create and actively participate in it. We invite everyone to share their unique perspectives and shape a work environment that carries out these core values. I am committed to playing an active role and I hope to encourage colleagues across all layers of our business to do the same.
The Diversity and Inclusion committee is important to me because it will allow us as a company to have the hard conversations that need to be had around an inclusive culture, diversifying talent recruitment, and establishing sustainable programs to further allow forward thinking progression. This committee will aid in the efforts of Clarabridge assuring its employees have equal opportunity and comfort in the workplace regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or other traits and values that form their identities.
As a part of the Clarabridge Community, involvement in the DEI Committee provides me an opportunity to influence changes which support a more inclusive workplace. Work is a place where we all spend a large amount of our time and energy; ensuring Clarabridge facilitates a safe environment for every employee helps create a better workplace for my colleagues and I. Participating and facilitating the growth of the DEI committee at Clarabridge has led to new friendships and positive changes in my own department, and across the company. I’m looking forward to a company culture that allows everyone to bring their full selves to work.
With our commitment to DEI, we don’t want to just talk the talk. Here’s what we’re doing to ensure that these values remain ingrained in our workplace.
Being talented is not a quality exclusive to a particular individual or group. There is not one prototype for an ideal candidate. We believe that everyone possesses something special and that they should never be limited in exploring their passions and interests because of who they are or where they came from. Our Talent Acquisition team continually works to break the status quo, making sure that the organization is actively seeking candidates across the board of representation. From partnering with HBCUs and women’s colleges to hosting manager trainings on interview bias, we work to incite change and maintain a diverse environment.
Every month, employees from around the world come together to develop, implement, and sustain actions that reflect and foster our values of diversity. By having an open discussion where we listen to and educate one another, we can guarantee progress and change for the better. We have always prided ourselves on breaking the norm for the benefit of our clients. It’s important that we are also breaking the norm for the benefit of our Clarabridge family, by going against the trends of society and running towards what is best for our people and what keeps our organization united and intact.
Our Response to COVID-19
Our employees are our top priority. Since March 2020, our employees have worked remotely and will continue to do so until the conditions of the pandemic improve. While we remain dedicated to our work and our clients, we are nothing without the people that stand behind our organization. We will always choose the well-being of our employees and are committed to ensuring that our employees are safe and healthy. A key theme throughout our time in the pandemic has been communication and reiterating how important it is that employees prioritize themselves and share what they need in order to be successful during this time.
We want our employees to feel supported in all aspects of their work and life. Whether someone is looking to lead in their future as a manager or a new parent needs advice on transitioning back into the workforce, we want to create safe spaces where employees can address their concerns and gain the insight and resources they need to thrive.
